Originally released in 1972 as one of the earliest arcade video games, Atari Pong is a table tennis–themed arcade video game using simple two-dimensional graphics.
Players use the paddles to hit a ball back and forth. The goal is for each player to reach eleven points before the opponent; points are earned when one fails to return the ball to the other. The game can be played with two human players, or one player against a computer-controlled paddle.
This reissued version is a classic arcade experience but with enhanced gameplay for mobile devices outfitted with modernized graphics. Use the keyboard or mouse to move the paddles up or down. The Pong Game is g generally considered to be the game that started the video games industry. Pong is part of the permanent collection of the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, D.C., due to its cultural impact.
