Some Things to Keep in Mind if you are getting FR/LG!
submitted by /u/Magnakilro to r/pokemon [link] [comments]
I know these games are OLD but there may be some aspects that some people have forgotten about, or may not know. This is to help alleviate some confusion. Spoilered in case this is someone's first time playing these remakes, as there are postgame notes here.
1: Mewtwo does not unlock after becoming champion alone...you must get the NatDex and complete the Sevii Islands quest to get the Ruby and Sapphire too.
2: Post gen 1 evolutions can not be obtained until you get the natdex. Your happy Golbat will TRY to evolve, but will auto-fail. This will occur every level up if the evolution conditions are met.
3: Espeon and Umbreon are not obtainable at all as time of day is not a thing in these games.
4: If you picked Bulbasaur or Squirtle, just use your masterball on the Entei or Raikou you get access to in the postgame....trust me...better to not risk the mon deleting itself from your game with Roar than to get 'matching ball' aesthetic.
5: Moltres was moved to the top of Mount Ember on One Island in these games.
6: unlike RBY, there's an npc in Celadon Mansion that'll give you the item to bypass the saffron guards...no need to climb the dept store for the drink.
7: The only obtainable gen 3 pokemon in the game are Azurill (who is version exclusive) and Wynaut....that's it.
Edit to add: 8: This is gen 3...the Physical/Special split hasn't happened yet!

So we are heading to Fuschia city and my 4 year old is catching drowzees to level up our team. He’s has a 3 catch combo and I leave to go to bathroom. I come back and my 6 year old says “why does this drowzee look different?” Turns out he caught the first shiny I’ve ever seen. Wild!

Paldia Region Pokemon Evolutions
submitted by /u/Available_Study5911 to r/Pokemon_GO_News [link] [comments]
I recently came across these tools to calculate the CP for pokemon’s in Pokemon GO. I found these tools to be most accurate and updated with latest pokemon.
Evolution calculator gives you CP of evolutions of your pokemon and CP Calculator gives you the HP and CP of any pokemon you enter based on it’s IVs. I think both tools are useful to calculate the CP for any pokemon’s evolution.
Check them out:

For those of you who will pick Squirtle or Bulbasaur in the western copies of FR/LG [IMPORTANT]
submitted by /u/Dakot4 to r/pokemon [link] [comments]
After beating the league for the first time uncover this: You're going to start doing some sidequests back on the Sevii islands, after getting the Sapphire for Celio, a legendary roaming Pokemon will appear on Kanto routes, per Bulbapedia: if a roaming Pokémon uses Roar to flee from battle, it will no longer appear in the wild. This means the player will no longer be able to obtain it in that save file. This can be avoided if the romaning Pokémon is affected by Encore or Taunt, or the player's Pokémon is affected by Ingran or has Soundproof or Suction Cups. The roaming beast that appears if you picked Charmander does not know Roar, so it is not affected by this glitch.

Getting Ready for FireRed Port!!!

EDIT:
I’m seeing a lot of confusion in the replies. I brought up FRLG not because I’m planning to move my Pokémon there or anything. Honestly, after I finish the Pokédex in a game, I usually just leave everything in the save file instead of moving it to HOME or another game.
I mentioned FRLG because one of the reasons I replayed LGPE is that, like FRLG, it’s set in Kanto, so they share a lot of similarities. And since I’ve actually never played FRLG before, it’d be fun to compare the two.
Plus, we don’t even know if FRLG will fully support HOME anyway, so that wasn’t what this post was about at all.
Original Post:
Hi >_<
I replayed Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and finished the Living Form Dex! Fun fact: it took me less than 24 hours of in-game time — my fastest Living Dex so far!
There aren’t that many Pokémon in this game, so there’s not a whole lot to break down. All of them have the Kanto Origin Mark, and none were transferred from Pokémon Go. Well… except for Meltan and Melmetal, obviously, since that’s the only way to get them.
In the Special box, besides those two, I’ve got Mew from the Poké Ball Plus, Partner Pikachu, and a Shiny Meltan you get for completing the Pokédex in Pokémon HOME. As a nice little bonus — I randomly found two shinies during my playthrough, even without the Shiny Charm!
I used screenshots from HOME because I honestly can’t stand how the Pokémon Box works in Let’s Go…
I know completing the Pokédex in FireRed is a real challenge, but hopefully I’ll see you over at FRLG subreddit someday :D
