Plants vs Zombies is simple to understand base defense game. Place the plants so that they can shoot the zombies and look to sustain a very strong defensive line that won't let any enemy through.

In Plants vs Zombies 2 (also known as Plants vs Zombies 2: It’s About Time) the player battles new zombies in a time travel adventure. Amass an army of amazing plants, supercharge them with Plant Food, and come up with a strategic plan to protect your base. Collect your favorite lawn legends, like Sunflower and Peashooter, along with hundreds of other horticultural hotshots, including creative bloomers like Lava Guava and Laser Bean.

Players must select a plant from a list at the side of the screen and plant it strategically to prevent a zombie from walking across the entirety of the screen. Different plants have different abilities –– from shooting peas to wall-nuts that act as barricades, to potato bombs that blow up when stepped on. Sun stars that drop down the screen need to be captured to the side to add points to continue to grow and supply plants.

New to this Plants vs. Zombies 2 sequel is the ability to upgrade plant forces with "plant food," which generally increases the rate of fire. Also new are power-ups that allow you to clear the screen of zombies by squeezing their heads off, tossing them off-screen, and electrifying them. Experienced players may find this implementation of Plants vs Zombies 2 more of a demo version, and not a full game.
