  1. Apple and Microsoft are both looking to dominate the next big things in tech—from artificial intelligence and cloud computing to gaming, tablets, custom processors and mixed-reality headsets. Their rivalry doesn’t appear to cool down anytime soon.

  3. Honor Tab X7, Honor MagicBook X 14, and MagicBook X 15 have launched in China. The tablet comes with slim bezels on the sides but a relatively thick chin and forehead bezel. Honor Tab X7 is offered in a single configuration and just one colour.
  4. Lenovo Yoga Pad Pro is being teased by the company. It comes with an HDMI input port allowing the tablet to be used as an external display. Lenovo Yoga Pad Pro does not have a release date yet.
  5. Google has announced Entertainment Space for Android tablets that offers tailored content to users. It has three tabs — Watch, Games and Read — that allow users to watch videos, play games, and read books, respectively, from various platforms.
  6. Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 Lite may be launched in India soon as its support websites go live in India, Africa, and Romania. A listing on Google Play Console also tipped the specifications Samsung may offer with the upcoming Tablet.
  7. XDA Developers’ kacskrz dug into the code of MIUI 12.5 system apps to offer details on the upcoming tablets. . These tablets are code named ‘nabu’, ‘enuma’, and ‘elish’. It is tipped that ‘Enuma’ will support voice calls, thus support mobile connectivity (4G LTE/5G), whereas ‘elish’ and ‘nabu’ will not support voice calls.
  8. Chromebook shipments were the highest in Q1 2021 compared to the previous year. The segment saw 275 percent YoY growth with 12 million Chromebook models shipped in the quarter.
  9. Apple has released iOS 14.5.1, iPadOS 14.5.1, macOS Big Sur 11.3.1, and watchOS 7.4.1 to fix two zero-day security flaws in WebKit. The company has also brought iOS 12.5.3 for its older iPhone and iPad devices with fixes for four WebKit-related security issues.
