  • Eyesore.

It always irks me to think about that peice of land. Such a huge piece of land that they left us unable to access.

They could've done something with it, anything. Just so that way we could visit the area to clear it like the rest of the map.

I had originally heard that the eyesore was gonna be the area for the Legacy Of The First Blade DLC but from what I heard recently it was not.

Either way, Ubisoft left us with a big eyesore.

What do you all think of Ubisoft leaving us such an eyesore.

  • End of an era/hopes for 'Red'.

It sounds like Assassin's creed Red (or shadow?) is going to be a soft reboot for the series as Origins was and AC III before that. With that in mind, here are some things I'd like to see carried over from the last few games as well as some changes I would like to see going forward.

    Keep:

    • Sprawling maps from Origins and Odyssey. The newer games had their strengths and weaknesses, but one thing they usually got right was the world map. I'd love to be able to navigate Japan in a Waku junkship in a similar fashion to Alexios/Kassandra in Odyssey. The world should be large and should exhibite Japan's rich culture and interesting history.

    • Bird companion. I like the bird, it allows you to see your surroundings from a new angle and develop a better plan of attack, very useful feature. It's also nice to see the landscape from a literal birds-eye view.

    • Important assassination targets outside of story. Being able to work my way through the Cult/order is very satisfying. I love that I can pick them off one by one and look for clues in my own time and in my own style. I also like the idea that a lot of the targets are already walking about in the world and I just need to find them, Odyssey did this best.

    Change:

    • Scale back RPG elements. Origins and Mirage got this about right, Odyssey and Valhalla went overboard. The dialogue options (please end the clunky n' awkward cutscenes)and protagonist selecter were the worst symptom. Some light RPG elements could work if incorporated thoughtfully.

    • Return to historical accuracy. I don't want to see anymore mythical beasts or superpowers, and I don't accept animus glitches or hallucinations as excuses. I'm a bit of history buff so this one is particularly important to me, I don't mind details being wrong, it is a bit of fun after all, just no fantasy elements. Want to include Kami? Again, a couple of Kami related stories/bosses could be fine if done thoughtfully and with a clever narrative framework that shows the spirits aren't real in the actual game world.

    • More focused story. Some of the newer games have about a 100 characters and 100 bonus missions and 100 mini quests to get you see the whole map. I just want a well made story with a handful of strong characters, and a couple of cool side missions in each region that tell something about the world or the player character. Quality > quantity.

These are my initial thoughts, What would you like to see change or stay the same?

  • How to get The Fang?

Is there a way to get this sword with purchasing the desert cobra pack?

  • AC 3 Call for Backup

Can someone explain how this works? I have tried to call for back up several times during a fight and nobody shows up? Like nothing happens. I can bring one in to assassinate but he got killed by the first group of enemies and now I can seem to call anything. They said something about turning the angry crowd to our advantage so I thought cool- we’re gonna start a riot but that didn’t happen either. I killed all the soldiers so I’m not stuck at the quest or anything I just want to understand how I get back up because so far i can’t do anything without an actual army coming after me so I think back up is a good idea.

I missed this one originally so I’ve played all the others - not sure how I’m loving this. Stealth feels almost impossible and the eagle vision is very feint and doesn’t even tag enemies through walls or anything so you can’t really make a plan of attack. Also sometimes you think oh - 2 guards I’ll just take those out and be done with it but nah - from somewhere out of nowhere come all his pals and family and all of a sudden I’m in the middle of about 40 guards - it’s just not the game I’m used to, I always go sneaky sneaky. But I’ll stick with it, I’m kinda invested in the story now but I can see this game is going to frustrate the life out of me.

  • Nothing will ever touch the lighting in Unity
  • Sinbrad memory corridor is my favorite moment in the entire series and I think it is very underappreciated

    Sibrand: Please, don't do this.

    Altair: You are afraid.

Sibrand: Of course I am afraid.

Altair: But you'll be safe now. Held in the arms of your god.

Sibrand: Have my brothers taught you nothing? I know what waits for me, for all of us.

Altair: If not your god, then what?

Sibrand: Nothing. Nothing waits. And that is what I fear.

    Altair: You don't believe...

Sibrand: How could I given what I know? What I've seen? Our treasure was the proof.

    Altair: Proof of what?

Sibrand: That this life is all we have.

Altair: Linger a while longer then, and tell me of the part you were to play.

Sibrand: A blockade by sea, to keep the fool kings and queens from sending reinforcements. Once we... once we...

    Altair: Conquered the Holy Land?

Sibrand: Freed it, you fool! From the tyranny of faith.

Altair: Freedom?! You worked to overthrow cities, control men's minds, murdered any who spoke against you!

Sibrand: I followed my orders, believing in my cause, same as you.

The idea of a brave medieval knight who his whole life believed in a God, but then discovered Isu and went insane after realising that there is nothing after death is very interesting for me. He turned from a courageous man into a coward and paranoic, as his whole worldview was shattered, and he turned this rage and fear against the religion as a vengeance.

This seems pretty deep on a several levels and hits pretty hard for me. It is also the only moment that I can remember where non-indie game discusses eternal nothingness after death.

  • Connor Kenway brute strength feats?

Connor has a reputation for being the physically strongest assassin in the franchise, but what is there to actually show that?

True, just from observation, Connor is very tall, and unbelievably jacked.

Not to mention the (not canon) magic animal powers from the King Washington DLC.

What moments from AC3 or other surrounding material displays Connor’s brute strength?

  • Assassins creed mirage is vibe that gives me constant nostalgia of 07-09 type of era

I have been thoroughly enjoying ac mirage I have 20 hours put into it and I'm not even done yet, the detail ubisoft put in the location of mirage is wassup, at times I end up walking around different parts of the city, parkouring for awhile assassinating guards in different ways, I even go toe to toe with the guy with the 2 swords, I remember there was a regular guard who was chasing me I decided to turn around and fight em then the 2 sworded guy showed up it was a vibe fasho then I sprinted for the rooftops afterwards then eagle dived and ended running into a quest location lol so I decided to have some fun with that also, the scenery is pleasing to look at, going to the assassins bureaus gives me nostalgia too I didn't expect to like mirage this much, I had my doubts when they announced it with a cutscene trailer back then but fast forward to now I definitely don't regret getting it release day, I'm just now getting close to finishing it cause I had alot of backlog lol I'm sure you guys know about backlog situations 🤣 I still haven't finished avatar frontiers of pandora yet

  • Assassin's Creed 3 Stealth is Extremely Bad!

I just tried the AS3 Seq 7 mission that has the Opt objective to kill the grenadier on the boat without being seen,I did it after 20 or so attempts and then I tried the next ship and failed. I think I almost broke my controller!

This games Stealth mechanics are outrageous, the Reds see you from inside boxes and stalk you forever!

I know I can 100% this mission but I feel I get nothing from it!
