  • PPG × OW fanart

I made PPG x OW fanart for fun and to destress.

Blossom Freja, Buttercup Illari (was gonna do Kiri but changed my mind), Bubbles Juno, Utonium Moira, Mojo Winton, Him LW, Mayor Torb, and Ms. Bellum Mercy.

I was gonna do Sedussa Ashe cause of the same VC but I got lazy.

  • Is it just me or did the Dorado rework basically do nothing?

Don't get me wrong: The changes themselves are great, but it's still such a flawed map in my opinion.

The first point still has a weird duality: Before the archway, the attacking team has to deal with awful sightlines, a literal uphill battle, and a defensive setup that's way too close to the inital spawn, but as soon as they get past the archway, everything flips in their favor: the defending team only has to entry points, the gate is closed, and the cart acts as a second tank.

The second point still has no purpose for the entire left lane. Trying to do anything from there is way too telegraphed, and pushing the cart until the second archway is more effective anyway if you really want to stick to the low ground (in my experience). The open area after the archway is manageable. However, it could be a little bit less punishing for the poor guy who is forced to push the cart.

The third point still revolves around the stupid OW1 staple, namely the "final fight around the bend." We already got King's Row, Numbani, Junkertown, Rialto, Gibraltar and Eichenwalde. Can we PLEASE get more straightforward third points? You know, stuff like Circuit Royal, Route 66, Shambali, Havana, Blizzard World, Hollywood, Paraiso and Midtown?

  • What I have learned from 50 games of support and 50 games of tank as a DPS player

Hello all! Not to long ago I made a post about playing support and tank to better myself as a player to learn what to look for to play with and around your supports and tanks. For reference I am a hard stuck plat Freja main who also plays genji, echo and occasionally sym. Ill be providing my hero's, what I did what I think my strengths and weaknesses were, my record and winrate overall and for each hero and what I learned

Tank Initial placement gold 3 current plat 4 overall 32W/18L/2D

For tank I played a total of 52 games with ram being my most played at 21 followed by mauga at 17 then winston at 11 and 3 games between the remaining tanks Ram 11W/10L/0D - Ram was alot of fun, but I will say as I moved up in rank it became significantly harder to carry games as him, he helped me compare CD cycles and better understand tank uptime and engagements as I learned that obvious cues like Mauga stomp or ram form weren't the only or best engagements, a good vortex or barrier could just as easily grant massive opportunities for my DPS or supports whether its peeling a genji off my ana or forcing a dva to stand out in the open Mauga 12W/5L/0D I had great success with mauga his engagement was intuitive andhis ult powerful, he forced me to be more thoughtful of CDs that had or hadn't been used and also what CDs to expect my teammates to use at what time for example playing around anti nade or with suzu would drastically change how aggressive I was and what angles I took as well as when I could stomp in Winston 8W/3L/0D Winston was fun I played him exclusively on maps with lots of ways to take advantage of vertical mobility and he really helped me learn about space control and team follow up as you usually couldn't kill anyone on your own but using bubble and leap for engagements or peel was fun to learn, primal was also a lot more powerful than I thought

My main tank takeaways were learning more about what cues to look for as a dps player when it comes to CDs and aggression to know when to go on the offensive and take aggressive angles, learning to track relevant enemy and allied CDs and learning about space most importantly what space you can hold and what space gets you killed

Support inital placement Gold 3 current plat 2 overall 28W/19L/1D

For support I played a total of 48 games playing mostly Juno 23 games then Brig at 14 and finally Kiriko with 6 with 5 games between the remaining supports Juno 12W/11L I started off smoking everyone on Juno but I found it become increasingly difficult to survive as I would rarely get help from my other support or DPS when getting dove by tracers and genjis however with all these supports I learned how often even hitscan DPS just walk out of LOS and I know alot of the stuff Im saying is obvious but I didnt realize how easy it would be to just stay in LOS till I had to experience the frustration from the supports side Brig 9W/5L Brig helped me learn how important peel is and how important positioning is, surviving as brig while getting value/consistent uptime was difficult but I also found that just simply surviving increased my uptime dramatically, brig also made me cronically play cover becasue she isnt nearly as durable as I thought shed be as her hitbox is huge. Again LOS was huge for brig and while it was easier to maintain as I had a closer proximity I still found there was many times when I could have saved someone if they had just let me heal them Kiriko 4W/2L Kiriko taught me mostly to be chronically aware of ever single persons position and while I still need to work on this skill and its a skill support as a whole taught me kiri did the best job of it mostly attributed to her TP Other supports 3W/1L/1D mostly counter swaps or requests or map specific

Overall I would say I learned alot and my recent games have been much easier after this time learning the other roles, I have quite good records that I would say are mainly attributed to my initially low placement although my current tank and support ranks are higher than my DPS rank by a decent margin, any questions and feedback are appreciated and I would highly recommend everyone play 50 games in comp trying to learn their off roles to see what you learn and can transfer to your main role or how to play around them! and anyone who has run this experiment or feels I missed anything about their role I'd love to hear about it!

  • Gm support can’t win games on dps

I went from d2 to p4 in the span of a week and can’t win a single game on dps. Meanwhile climbing to gm on support with relative ease. Here’s a replay code of a genji game. 4yk95r- My tag is joner I got to d2 playing mostly genji and had a 75% winrate with him through 25ish games. Then suddenly couldn’t win. I’m sure im misunderstanding a vital part of the game on dps that causes my team to lose even though the scoreboard would indicate im the best player in the lobby. If anyone could explain the fundamentals of dps to me and how to win again. I thought i understood the game and what to do but im apparently missing something vital.

  • Never forget that the artist who drew the adorable D.Va Nano Cola sprays also drew emojis of other OW heroes, but they're available only for a Korean messaging app (artist: KKUEM)
  • Does Quick Play have separate matchmaking for each role?

I’ve only ever played Support in Overwatch (role level 250), and I’ve never played DPS before. I’m planning to try it out for the first time in Quick Play, and I’m wondering how the matchmaking works.

Will I be matched with other low-experience DPS players? Or does the system use my Support MMR and put me in higher-level games even though I’m new to the role?

Just trying to understand what to expect while learning. Appreciate any insight!

  • Chucking rocks in the air is my favourite activity as a Sigma main
  • What should be my secondary tank?

Recently I’ve been getting more into the tank role and I’ve been enjoying it so far but the issue I’ve been running into is when I play well with hazard I get counter picked to high heavens, immediately Zen, Mauga, Ana, Moira. So I was wondering what character should I pick up next, I was thinking about someone like Sig or Ram but I don’t know how easy they are, so if you have any suggestions of characters I should pick up or any advice please feel free to let me know.
